Week 1, Day 2

Today, Reese was feeling a bit better, so we tackled a lot more activities! Reese was a HUGE fan of our new markers.

We started our Number of the Week, zero. Reese was pretty intrigued by the idea of writing the number zero, but of course it turned into random scribbles after a while. :)

We did our second coloring page about our Letter of the Week, A.

And we started our unit study on Colors of the Week--this week is Red. The firetruck was, of course, a huge hit. :)

These coloring pages were taken from a number of excellent resources, including www.3dinosaurs.com, www.twistynoodle.com, and www.preschoolmom.com.

We also checked out Asia on our animal map in R's room. This map shows the names of the continents, the animals that live there, and other points of interest, like the Great Wall of China, etc. (A gift from his Auntie...found at the Dollar Tree! Such a great resource.)

Still too sick to go to the park, but we played with bubbles on the porch and did lots of reading. Vocabulary words that Reese is interested in today:

Tunnel
Mountain
Train tracks
Through/under
Crocodile
Special

It was a good day! Tomorrow, we'll have to hit the last activity page about our Number of the Week, and maybe fit in our Music Time. Have a blessed day!
